This month’s HEInnovate webinar “How transnational education (TNE) can help your HEI to become more entrepreneurial” will take place on Thursday, the 23rd February at 5pm CET.
In this webinar we will explore how transnational education links to the HEInnovate dimension of the Internationalised institution, hearing the contribution of experts from the field of TNE.
The webinar will be moderated by Ross Hudson, Senior Consultant at Technopolis and it will engage:
- Janet Ilieva, Founder and Director of Education Insight, she started her career as a university lecturer in economics before joining the British Council in 2004, to lead the department’s work for higher education research and market intelligence. Janet joined the Higher Education Funding Council for England in May 2013 as head of the HEFCE Observatory. Janet is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of International Students. Janet will present her experience in the field of TNE and how it fosters innovation in the institution
- Susanne Kammüller, Head of the Coordination Office of the Consortium for the Vietnamese German University (VGU) at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Susanne looks back on eighteen years of professional experience in international higher education. She has worked on transnational education in different roles since 2011, authored and co-authored various articles and managed several study projects on the topic. Susanne will give an overview of the different activities and national experiences of German HEIs as TNE providers as well as the role DAAD plays in this context
- Joana Westphal, Head of Transnational Education (TNE) at Universities UK International (UUKi). She works within UUKi's Policy and Engagement Team leading the TNE programme to support universities in building sustainable, scalable partnerships across the globe. Joana has worked in international higher education across different areas, including recruitment, research and TNE, with a particular focus on the Middle East and North Africa. She has an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Arabic and a Master's in Sociology. Joana will share the latest insights from the UK perspective on TNE.
